Internal Factors
« on: January 26, 2012, 04:43:20 PM »
Hello, TIMO Community
Quote
RS gives multiple tables and diagrams for each factor.

Ok, letís begin Internal Factors discussion.
It is obviously we must choose some beams for test. I really do not know what from all better choice is. As we see there are loadings along three directions are presented:
1.   Distributed forces along X Axis.
2.   Distributed forces along Y Axis.
3.   Distributed forces along Z Axis.
4.   Concentrated forces and moments.
I choose Beam 145 for internal factors comparison analysis. The same Beam in Timo is 127. There is no sense to provide testing for each point within Beam, itís enough to do it for begin and end point. By the way we are getting not only pointís values but functions of independent variable z in Timo.
Test Beam in RS (145) presented below:

The same Beam (127) in TS is next.

Screenshot of internal factors looks like this

All the data I pack in table. The results are next (take into account different Axes directions):
Internal Factor,
by RS sign convention

TS, Begin Point [N]

By the way, TIMO Structural internal factor's functions (for a example):
Beam Bending in XZ Plane
Shearing Force in XZ Plane:
\[
429.419 -700. z
 \]

Bending Moment in XZ Plane:
\[
350. z^2-429.419 z+3.71428
 \]

Angle of Bending in XZ Plane:
\[
-0.00452893 z^3+0.0083349 z^2-0.000144186 z-0.859546
 \]

Deflection along X local Axis:
\[
0.00113223 z^4-0.0027783 z^3+0.000072093 z^2+0.859546 z-4.26135
 \]

Beam Bending in YZ Plane
Shearing Force in YZ Plane:
\[
1118.59 -500. z
 \]

Bending Moment in YZ Plane:
\[
-250. z^2+1118.59 z-315.237
 \]

Angle of Bending in YZ Plane:
\[
-0.00161748 z^3+0.0108558 z^2-0.00611866 z-0.00437094
 \]

Deflection along Y local Axis:
\[
-0.000404369 z^4+0.00361859 z^3-0.00305933 z^2-0.00437094 z+0.00117427
